Solicitation number 12363N26R4016 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the End of the World G-Z Long-Term IRSC (EOTW G-Z LTIRSC). The End of the World Project area is approximately 50,000 acres on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. The End of the World EIS authorizes commercial treatment on over 17,000 acres primarily through intermediate harvest.
The purpose of the EOTW G-Z LTIRSC is to thin overstocked stands to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire as well as improve stand health. The EOTW Project is within the Wildland Urban Interface and has numerous private inholdings with seasonal and permanent residents. This project aligns with Secretarial Memo 1078-006 and the Implementation of Secretarial Memo 1078-006 dated April 3, 2025 to utilize long term stewardship contracts for active management. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns.
