Description
The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC) – Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD) – Strategic Sourcing Directorate (SSD), intends to acquire Parts to support the Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical (SMART-T) system. This is a Light Source / Power Meter Kit, Part Number: 0831-2000 NSN: 6070-01-734-1566. The 0831-2000 Light Source / Power Meter (LS/PM) kit includes two light sources, one LED, and one Laser, and a Quad Power Meter that reads 850, 1300, 1310, and 1550 wavelengths.
This kit also contains all the MQJ quality reference cables and adapters: two four-channel to ST reference cables one meter in length, and two ST-to-ST reference cables one meter in length, to zero out the LS/PM set-up. The LS/PM Kit will verify the insertion loss (quality of the signal across the end-faces as they touch). The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts.
The TDP is not available for release. This is a follow-on procurement for Light Source /Power Meter kits. A small quantity of these kits were previously procured in early 2026 for training purposes.

The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
