Requirements vary by auction. Property Description This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is for a Comprehensive Scrap Metal Collection, Removal, and Recycling Services Sale Term Contract at NASA White Sands Test Facility. The estimated annual quantity is 130 tons of mixed, unsegregated, and unprepared scrap iron and steel, including light and heavy steel.
Scrap may contain ferrous and nonferrous attachments and other foreign materials. Bid submissions must include completed Appendix A and Standard Form 114 (SF 114). Performance Guarantee Required: $6,000.00. Pricing is based on a percentage of a published market index.
The contractor shall furnish required insurance documentation prior to performance in accordance with IFB Section 7.2. All solicitation amendments must be acknowledged, if applicable. Failure to comply with applicable solicitation requirements may result in a bid being deemed nonresponsive.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Inspection (IFB Section 3.3) SITE ACCESS / SECURITY NASA White Sands Test Facility is a secured Federal installation. Advance coordination is required for all site access. Badging and access controls apply, and additional security restrictions may be enforced.
