Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District, has a project as the Canonsburg-Houston Local Protection Project (LPP) is an authorized federal flood damage reduction project spanning over 20,500 linear feet of channel improvements along Chartiers Creek. Originally constructed by USACE in two phases (Houston unit completed in 1970; Canonsburg unit completed in 1976), operation and maintenance responsibilities were subsequently transferred to Washington County.
Severe storm events resulted in substantial damage to the channel embankment along the right bank of Chartiers Creek, including displacement of stone protection and loss of subgrade stabilization. This rehabilitation contract encompasses repair and re-armoring of the degraded channel reach to restore federal project integrity and design conveyance capacity. The work is to be completed within 365 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Any resultant award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Purchase Order. The anticipated award date is 11 December 2026. The basis of award will be of best value to the Government.
