Pre-solicitation/Synopsis – TYR Tactical Commercial Armor (Brand Name Only) DLA Troop Support intends to issue a solicitation for brand?name TYR Tactical commercial armor under 10 U.S.C. § 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Class Deviation 2026?O0017, DFARS Part 206 (Rev. 2), and RFO 6.103?1. The anticipated award is a single firm?fixed?price IDIQ contract with five 12?month ordering periods.

Description: NIJ 0101.06 Level II/IIIA concealable armor and Level IV tactical armor for high?risk missions. Market research and multi-agency evaluations determined that only TYR Tactical products meet 100% of salient characteristics, including female?specific shaping, load?bearing suspension frame, MOLLE configuration, four?way stretch nylon/spandex concealable compression material, Berry Amendment compliance, ESAPI compatibility, and full interoperability with AFOSI?fielded TYR modular pouches.
