Georgia Military School, BEN 33959, seeks Category One bids to connect Acker Hall on GMC's campus at 201 E. Greene Street, Milledgeville, GA 31061, to the Indoor Training Facility (ITF), Entity Number 17052494, at 630 S. Warren Street, Milledgeville, GA 31061.GMC requests proposals for a self-provisioned network and equivalent data transmission services over third-party networks. GMC will evaluate all responsive options for cost-effectiveness, with no preference for ownership or transmission technology. This request excludes separate internet access. The self-provisioned fiber solution shall provide 24 dedicated single-mode strands connected, terminated, labeled, and tested end-to-end between Acker Hall and the ITF. Existing GMC fiber is accessible in a pull box at the end of South Franklin Street and may be leveraged to reach Acker Hall. GMC has permission for a directional bore beneath Elbert Street. Bidders must verify existing capacity, site conditions, permission requirements, and any additional approvals, and propose the most cost-effective route and installation method.Initial connectivity shall support two simultaneous 10 Gbps Ethernet links in a standards-based LACP aggregation group, providing 20 Gbps aggregate capacity. All 24 strands must be ready for use; four will initially carry the two links, with the remaining strands reserved for spare and future capacity. Bidders must itemize incremental costs for spare and future-use capacity and identify any required cost allocation.GMC also requests one Aruba CX 6200 series 48-port PoE switch, or equivalent, with at least two 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports and LACP support, to terminate the connection at the ITF. GMC will provide the existing Extreme X690 core switch at Acker Hall and optics for both endpoints. Bidders must verify compatibility and include necessary licenses, patch cords, installation, configuration, and testing. Separately identify any ineligible equipment costs or functions requiring allocation.Include itemized costs for construction, engineering, project management, permitting, splicing, termination, testing, restoration, and documentation. Third-party service proposals must identify equivalent capacity, handoffs, service terms, and all one-time and recurring costs. GMC will handle ongoing maintenance of the self-provisioned network.Submit proposals to [email protected] by November 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.
