Description
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the solicitation closing date and time to 10:00 a.m. on 26 October 2026, revise the basis for award from Best Value to Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), and revise the period of performance to require completion of all field work no later than 31 December 2026.The objective of this contract is to recover intact samples of a cemented sand and gravel material located at the bottom of the Mississippi River near the town of Hickman, KY.
Historical borings in the area have penetrated the cemented sand and gravel, but the resulting samples were too disturbed to provide specimens for unconfined compressive strength tests. To achieve the contract objectives, the Contractor shall execute river-based rotosonic borings and rock coring at the specific coordinates designated.
