Description
FEMA is modernizing the National Flood Insurance Program to improve how it assesses and communicates flood risk, prices and delivers flood insurance, manages floodplains, and provides mitigation assistance. The goal is to help individuals, communities, states, and private-sector partners better understand and reduce flood risk while using policyholder and taxpayer funds efficiently.
To support this effort, FEMA is integrating staff, initiatives, and support structures into a more unified NFIP operating model. The draft contract support model described in the RFI pursues those outcomes. Work will be grouped into several categories described in the RFI.
Not all current NFIP support contracts will be recompeted immediately. This document also identifies selected support structures and contracts that are not currently within the scope of this RFI to provide a more complete picture of the NFIP support environment. Please see attached RFI for complete details.
