DESCRIPTION:

Fort Benning QRP is soliciting bids from interested buyers for the purchase and removal of used, empty ammunition containers. These containers are not reusable for their intended purpose and are offered solely as scrap material. All containers have been inspected to ensure they are free of hazardous materials and meet applicable safety and environmental standards.

MATERIAL DETAILS:

Specifications: Buyer agrees to pick up recyclable materials according to the following specifications: Material: Empty, Used ammunition containers
Type: Mixed lot of small, medium and large ammunition cans (sizes listed in each lot) Condition: Used, not serviceable for intended purpose; suitable only for scrap. Weight per lot: Approximately 123,000 lbs.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES

Total Bid Submission Requirements:
Evaluations of the winning bid will be based on best price offered to the QRP. Material Inspection Requirement:
Prospective Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect the materials offered prior to submitting a bid. Site visits may be arranged with Fort Benning QRP at (706) 527-6890 between 8 a.m. and p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Materials will be available for examination until the close of one (1) business day prior to the bid period’s closure. Failure by the winning bidder to inspect the materials described in the Specifications section of this solicitation will be deemed acceptance of the materials “as-is” and “as described,” with no recourse for adjustment after award.
