Requirement: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE), Philadelphia District (NAP), anticipates a requirement for Delaware Avenue Revetment CAP 14 Project in Cape May, NJ.
The estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000. Description: The purpose of the project is to manage the risk of on-going shoreline erosion along Delaware Avenue which is threatening the integrity of the road and a sanitary sewer utility line (8-inch force main) that runs along the northern right-of-way of the road, approximately 4 feet under the surface.
The least cost alternative and selected plan identified in the feasibility study involves the removal of approximately 8,400 cubic yards (CY) of existing rubble (sand, rock, concrete and paving debris) along the shoreline and the placement of approximately 3,000 CY of rip-rap. Once the rip-rap is placed, the water ward side of the structure will be backfilled with approximately 5,000 CY of sand and planted with native wetland vegetation.
The estimated period of performance will be 165 calendar days. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a SBA Size standard of $45.0M. The Product Service Code (PSC) is Y1QA - Construction of Restoration of Real Property (Public or Private). Survey: The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis.
