Description

Notice of intent – sole-source acquisition Notice No.: 75N98027Q00020 The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Ibstitute (NCI), intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Plasmidsaurus Inc. for RNA sequencing and whole genome sequencing services for various wild-type, drug-treated cell lines and samples related to CRISPR research. Description of the Requirement The primary objective of this study is to investigate common lymphoma-related translocations involving MYC, BCL6, or BCL2, while also examining copy number alterations and making CNV calls for genes of interest.

To achieve this, RNA sequencing will be provided for samples generated in the Staudt laboratory. RNA sequencing is essential for characterizing genome edits and conducting transcriptomic analysis. By utilizing Plasmidsaurus, a faster and more scalable alternative to traditional sequencing methods based on the latest Oxford Nanopore Technologies platform, we aim to generate results that will deepen our understanding of cellular mechanisms involved in B-cell lymphoma and guide future downstream experiments.

RNA sequencing and Whole-genome sequencing are required to observe the effects of various drugs on gene expression, identify pathways, and discover novel pathways. Justification for the Proposed Sole-Source Acquisition The Government intends to solicit from a single source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

Plasmidsaurus uses the latest Oxford Nanopore Technologies platform, a faster, more scalable alternative to traditional sequencing. Using the latest Oxford Nanopore Technologies platform ensures accurate sequencing, which is crucial for reproducible experiments which will significantly advance our understanding of, and treatment for, B-cell lymphoma, which is vital to cancer research at the National Cancer Institute.

Response Information This notice is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. However, interested parties that believe they can meet the Government's requirements may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to provide the required preventive maintenance and remedial repair services for the specified instrument and meet all applicable technical and operational requirements.

The Government will review timely submissions to determine whether another responsible source is capable of satisfying the requirement and whether a competitive acquisition is appropriate. The Government anticipates making an award approximately five (5) calendar days after the closing date of this notice, unless the Government determines that another responsible source can satisfy the requirement.

Capability statements must be submitted electronically to [email protected] no later than 9:00 a.m. EDT on November 6, 2026. Please reference Notice No. 75N98027Q00043 in the subject line of the submission.
