TITLE OF PROJECT: CM 2K Pressure Safety Device – Rupture Disks

Bidders must acknowledge this Addendum prior to the hour and date set forth in the solicitation as indicated in the RFP, Section 6.
If by virtue of this Addendum you desire to change a bid already submitted, such change may be made by telegram or letter, provided such telegram or letter makes reference to the Solicitation and this Amendment and is received prior to the time set for opening.
The above reference Solicitation is amended as follows: The following responses are provided to questions submitted during the Question-and-Answer period: 1. Are ASME and a UD stamp mandatory?
Response: It is mandatory.
2. What does the installation setup look like?
Response: See Figure 3-1 from the Statement of Work.
3. What is located before the rupture disk, and what comes after it? Response: See Figure 3-1 from the Statement of Work.
4. Are there any requirements regarding the tightness or leak rates? Response: See 3.9.2 from the Statement of Work for minimum acceptance criteria. 5. What are the requirements for the weld?
Response: See 3.9.1 from the Statement of Work. This weld is for superior leak tightness for sub-atmospheric operation of the Rupture Disk.
6. If the unit is to be welded vs using a bracket, would a sealing weld, not a tensile weld, be acceptable? Response: The unit itself is not welded, it is a cartridge which is welded for superior leak tightness for subatmospheric operation. Cartridge assembly will be bolted to flanges shown in Figure 3-1 from the Statement of Work.
7. Regarding material requirements for the welded assembly inlet and outlet connections, please confirm whether 316 Stainless Steel would be acceptable for these connections, or if Inconel 625 is specifically required for the application.
Response: Inconel is required for material of rupture disk; however, cartridge assembly can be 316 SS. Inconel grade 625 is not given as a requirement, may be Inconel 600 as an example. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
