SECTION 133401 - PRECAST CONCRETE VAULT RESTROOM BUILDING

PART 1 - GENERAL

SUMMARY

A. This section applies to the fabrication, delivery, and placement of a precast concrete Vault Restroom building, including shipment to site, all work necessary to completely fabricate, and installation of other manufactured accessories needed or specified in this section for a complete Vault Restroom. The Contractor shall be responsible for setting the toilet on a prepared hole which will be excavated and backfilled by the Forest Service.

C. Precast Vault Restroom Buildings (Manufacturer to verify requirements with Contracting Officer prior to constructing):

SUBMITTALS

Manufacturer’s Literature: Submit literature for the following items to the Contracting Officer (CO) for approval within 10 days after award of contract. Drawings and literature must be marked to show the exact model, size, and color proposed.

Door, louvered vents, and door hardware.
Paint, interior and exterior.
Caulk, ground and adhesive.
Concrete color additive, stains, concrete curing compound and concrete sealer.

B.

Shop Drawings: Submit four sets of shop drawings of the Vault Restroom stamped by a Professional Engineer.

C.

Color Sample: Sample of concrete color for walls and roof 12”x12”.

D.

Design Calculations: Submit two sets of design calculations showing that the building is designed for the structural loads required, fabrication and transportation loads, and crack prevention and control.

E.

Concrete Delivery Certificates: Supplier shall furnish a certificate with each truckload of concrete delivered showing the items in the following list. Submit these certificates to the CO upon delivery of the Vault Restroom.
