PURPOSE
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is seeking a contract for medical courier transportation services for Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS), Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center (PVAHCS), and Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS). The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, vehicle, vehicle fuel, vehicle insurance, transportation costs, communication devices, equipment, and materials at no additional cost to the Government.
SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall ensure timely delivery and pickup, adhering to the same-day schedule for routes identified in the statement of work. Contractor will ensure shipments are secure, and compliant transportation of ALL packages for transportation to and from internal and external locations. Totes and/or coolers may contain medical supplies, Category B biological specimens, pharmaceuticals. VA employees will pack Totes and/or Coolers and secure the package with a tracking or locking mechanism. Per Tote dimensions do not exceed L 28 in. X W 24 in. X H 16 in. equal to or less than 60 pounds in weight. Contractor will notify the designated point of contact at the locations of any delivery concerns, or issues with items not in route to destinations identified. Cargo for transportation to routed destinations could be a minimum of ten totes up to 35 totes daily. Specialized STAT routes could increase these quantities.
