Project Title: Procurement of Fixed Gas Monitors, Sensors, Controllers, and required components for a complete chemical alarm system with technical commissioning and startup, and staff training services. PART 1.
INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE
The Washington Aqueduct’s (WA) mission is to produce potable drinking water for the nation’s capital and surrounding jurisdictions in Northern Virginia. In connection with its potable water treatment program, the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant conducts required chemical analysis of finished water. Some lab equipment requires hazardous gas for operation that is monitored via the lab chemical alarm system. WA seeks to replace the equipment of the alarm system. This document outlines the scope, deliverables, and requirements for the procurement of the alarm system for Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant.
