STRUCTURE EVALUATION SUMMARY
This steel girder railroad turntable is in good condition overall. The only problems requiring attention at this time include accumulation of debris on the bottom flanges at the wheel bearing areas, debris inside the center pivot, and spot rusting of the steel girders, mainly at the bearing areas and diaphragms. In addition, the retaining wall exhibits some signs of deterioration, including staining and cracking with efflorescence at several locations. This condition will continue to be monitored during future inspection cycles. Repairs should be made as outlined in this report to prevent the possible development of more serious or costly problems in the future.
