OFFEROR QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
AM202603-25 Rev. 1
Question:
Would LBNL accept a closed loop liquid-cooled SSPA?
Comments:
- The cooling unit would be in the same 6’ rack as the transmitter - liquid cooled solution would include a heat exchanger (either liquid to air or liquid to liquid (if there is access to a cooling room or water tower)) - solution would include pulse correction
- solution would include droop correction
- solution would be hot swappable/fast field replaceable - solution would have graceful degradation
- solution would have embedded power supply
Response:
Yes, please submit a bid for the closed-loop liquid-cooled SSPA. We can review the proposed solution and determine how to best accommodate the heat exchanger as an interface with the closed-loop cooling system.
If supplier can offer an off-the-shelf system that meets LBNL’s requirements, it will receive high consideration.
