PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
1.0 Background
1.1 Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is a naval industrial facility that generates various non-hazardous wastes in the process of altering, repairing and maintaining the U.S. Navy’s vessels and facility buildings/structures. Although these wastes generated are not regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as hazardous waste, they do require proper management (i.e., processing, handling and disposal) to ensure that PHNSY & IMF is in compliance with all federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations.
2.0 Objective/Scope of Work
2.1 PHNSY & IMF seeks to establish a one-year contract to dispose of rubber products on a regular basis to a licensed and authorized landfill facility on the Island of Oahu, State of Hawaii. The non-hazardous wastes consist of the following categories:

If the Contractor's designated disposal facility prohibits internal wiring, metal tips, or requires hoses to be cut, shredded, or separated prior to disposal, all such pre-processing, metal extraction, and disposal of residual components shall be the sole responsibility and cost of the Contractor under their Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) obligation.
