SUBJECT: Request for Information (RFI) –Contractor Support Approaches for Offensive Small One-Way Attack Unmanned Aircraft Systems (O-sUAS)
1. NOTICE
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for market research, planning, and informational purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), solicitation, or promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparing or submitting information. Information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting.
2. BACKGROUND AND SCOPE
The United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Asymmetric Warfare Division (AFLCMC/WIS) is conducting market research via this RFI to identify future sustainment approaches. The objective is to provide highly agile, comprehensive contractor support for an operational fleet of offensive small one-way attack unmanned aircraft systems (O-sUAS).
3. REQUIREMENT
While this RFI outlines specific baseline areas of interest, the Government's primary interest is in overall contractor support capability. Therefore, respondents are encouraged to propose innovative solutions, alternative concepts, and trades that may deviate from baseline assumptions if they result in a more effective, affordable, or producible system (e.g., delineating between expendable one-way airframes vs. reusable ground control and launch infrastructure).
All proposed sustainment approaches and life-cycle activities must address support across the twelve (12) Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSEs) as outlined in the May 2022 DoD Product Support Manager (PSM) Guidebook. The IPSEs are as follows: Product Support Management, Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Maintenance Planning and Management, Supply Support, Support Equipment, Technical Data, Training and Training Support, IT Continuous Systems Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and
