Salient Characteristics
Phase 1 Project Planning & Mobilization
Develop detailed work plan, schedule, and tasks upon request. Coordinate delivery/receipt of containers at a secure facility. Phase 2 Carboline Removal – Coating Disbonder 8512
Chemical Coating Disbonder and manual removal techniques suitable for Carboline thermal insulation coatings on steel. Containment systems will capture all residues. Apply Disbonder by spray, brush, roll, or a combination thereof at 20 wet mils to the surface with reaction time of between 12 hours to 18 hours. Multiple coats may be required for complete removal of the coating. Alternatively, a surface heat source and manual scraping will be used as well. A moisture-cure polyurethane encapsulation coating will be applied immediately to prevent re-oxidation. Collection, handling, and disposal: All waste will be collected and disposed of in full compliance with EPA, state, and local environmental regulations. Phase 3 Surface Preparation (All Walls and Roof)
Power washing/salt removal, mechanical and /or abrasive blasting to achieve appropriate SSPC surface profile for adhesion, rust/oxide removal and repair. Prepared surfaces will be protected from contamination/corrosion until coating application (e.g., temporary primers or controlled environment). Phase 4 Rust Grip Surface Coating Application
An advanced, moisture-cure polyurethane encapsulation coating often categorized under SSPC Paint 41 specifications. It is specifically designed to penetrate rusted metal, lock out moisture, and encapsulate existing surface materials. Instead of acting merely as a surface-level primer, it acts as a penetrating solvent. It travels deep into metal pores and existing rust, swelling to block moisture and oxygen from causing further degradation. Spray or manual application (airless or conventional) in controlled conditions but can be applied in exterior environments as well. Phase 5 Super-Therm Thermal Roof Shield Application
Super-Therm high-performance, water-based ceramic coating originally developed with NASA technology that acts as a thermal shield. It blocks 96.1% of total solar heat (including UV, visible, and infrared radiation) before it ever enters a structure. A water-borne combination of high-performance aliphatic acrylics, self-crosslinking and resin additives which produces a tough, yet flexible coating film. Designed for performance and durability, Super-Therm contains 4 unique ceramics to block heat gain into the surface upon which the coating film is applied. Super-Therm resists 95% of Solar heat blocking Visual Light, Ultraviolet (UV), and Infrared (IR). Super-Therm is a flexible membrane with low permeability that can greatly reduce expansion and contraction of a roof and prevent corrosion and surface deterioration.
