SOURCES SOUGHT Notice

JOINT BASE MYER-HENDERSON HALL, VIRGINIA

JBMHH Kitchen Hoods Exhaust

1. Introduction and General Information

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The U.S. Government desires to procure the services of a vendor to provide comprehensive, certified kitchen exhaust hood and dryer vent cleaning services at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), Henderson Hall, and Fort McNair on a small business set-aside basis. This set-aside will be utilized provided two (2) or more qualified small businesses respond to this Sources Sought Notice with information sufficient to support a set-aside. The required services include providing all management, certified personnel, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to perform quarterly cleaning of kitchen exhaust hood systems (in accordance with NFPA 96 standards) and semi-annual cleaning of commercial/domestic dryer vent systems (in accordance with NFPA 54 standards). These services are critical to eliminate accumulated grease and lint, thereby mitigating severe fire hazards and ensuring the life-safety of military, civilian, and resident personnel. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if two (2) or more qualified small businesses do not respond with sufficient information to support the set-aside. We strongly encourage all small businesses in all socioeconomic categories—including the 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns—to identify their capabilities to meet this requirement at a fair market price.
