Request for Information (RFI) Sources Sought Notice
Subject to FAR clause 52.215-3 entitled "Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes” this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources to provide all necessary labor, calibrated testing equipment, and consumables to execute the annual inspection, testing, and certification of the shipboard firefighting and suppression equipment aboard each of the four (4) TSVRON4 vessels: TSV1 Prevail, TSV3 Hunter, TSV4 Narragansett and TSV5 Vindicator. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than to gain the information requested, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government has determined the supplies and services are commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice.
Scope
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and technical and management support services to deliver conduct the annual physical inspection of all the fixed and portable firefighting equipment onboard each of the four (4) TSVRON4 vessels: TSV1 Prevail, TSV3 Hunter, TSV4 Narragansett and TSV5 Vindicator.
Provide trained inspector and any/all materials required for the inspections. Provide condition reports of as to the functionality of all equipment, stating whether each item is within required operable specifications.
Provide, separate, recommendation on equipment/material replacement, to include specific reason for replacement and Quote with part number(s), quantities and pricing. Services to be completed (The following is from the Draft PWS): Attend to vessel(s) located at Little Creek Navy Base to inspect, test and certify the fixed CO2 system, portable fire extinguishers, Scott SCBA cylinders, packs, and fire hoses. This quote does not include any repairs, hydro testing or 6-year maintenance of cylinders. All discrepancies will be written up.
