This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. Pursuant to FAR Class Deviation 25-06 (Rev. 1) Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Class Deviation 25-11 Part 6 and FAR Class Deviation 26-03 (Rev. 2) Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action.
REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing the following: SPECIFICATION: (Subject to change at the discretion of the Government). Contractor shall provide all necessary facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel to perform drydock repairs to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) WILLIAM CHADWICK (WPC-1150). The vessel is home ported in Boston, Massachusetts. All work will be performed at the contractor’s facility. There is no geographical restriction for this cutter. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of the acquisition is for the drydock repairs of the USCGC WILLIAM CHADWICK (WPC-1150). This work will include, but is not limited to the following Work Items:

WORK ITEM 2: Tanks and Voids, Inspect and Preserve
WORK ITEM 3: Watertight Closures, Assess
WORK ITEM 4: Louver and Damper Assembly, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 5: Propulsion Shafting System, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 6: ASW/Firemain System Components, Renew/Overhaul WORK ITEM 7: Electrical Power Distribution System, Thermographic Inspection (450 VAC and below)
WORK ITEM 8: Bilge Surface and Piping, Clean/Inspect/Repair WORK ITEM 9: Machinery Ventilation System, Clean
WORK ITEM 10: HVAC Duct System, Clean
WORK ITEM 11: Rudder Assemblies, Inspect and Repair
WORK ITEM 12: Stabilizing Fins, Inspect and Repair
WORK ITEM 13: Bow Thruster Propeller and Tunnel, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 14: Stern Launch Door, Inspect and Preserve
