Industry Day Announcement
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Armament Directorate Supply Chain Illumination Capability
Hosted by AFLCMC/EB

BLUF: AFLCMC/EB requires a secure, scalable, AI-assisted federated data capability that integrates but not unnecessarily replaces existing government, Service, and contractor data sources. The capability must provide end-to-end supply-chain mapping, risk identification and assessment, near-real-time situational awareness, mitigation tracking, and evidence-based decision support for priority munition programs, initially within the Long-Range Weapons, Affordable Munition, and Adaptive Weapons portfolios, with potential expansion across the Armament Directorate portfolio.

1. Introduction

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Armament Directorate (EB), plans to conduct a virtual Industry Day to conduct market research and obtain industry feedback regarding a potential Supply Chain Illumination capability for the munitions enterprise.
The Armament Directorate is pursuing an artificial intelligence-assisted, federated data capability to map critical munition supply chains to raw-material sources. The intended capability would provide enterprise-level visibility into supply-chain dependencies, bottlenecks, supplier risks, competing demands, and mitigation actions in support of senior-leader decision-making and mission outcomes.
This Industry Day is intended to inform the Government’s market research under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10 and help identify mature, scalable commercial and non-traditional solutions that can support the Directorate’s supply-chain visibility requirements. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), solicitation, commitment, or promise to issue a solicitation in the future.

2. Background

The Armament Directorate currently lacks an integrated mechanism to assess critical supply-chain risk across its acquisition divisions, military Services, and contractorsupported weapon systems. Existing data sources are fragmented (data lives in siloed systems), contractor logistics support arrangements can limit visibility into multi-tier supply chains, and shared dependencies across military and commercial demand can create unanticipated production risk.

The Government seeks to improve end-to-end visibility of materials, suppliers, production dependencies, single points of failure, foreign-source dependencies, and mitigation actions across priority munition portfolios down to the raw materials at the
