STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements
In order to establish a simple, unified control system for the vacuum chambers in the lab, PLCs will be installed to replace NI’s PXIe for control and monitoring purposes.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The PLC shall perform the following:
• Monitor the temperature, analog current, Boolean voltages, alarm when out of range, take limited corrective action without operator input
• Be capable of remote IO communication for expansion into other labs • Talk to the PC over ethernet via Ethernet/IP
• Display status on a panel mounted touchscreen
• PLC shall be capable of reading 16 DI Fast, 6 DI, 12 TC, 16 AI and writing to 32 DO and 8 AO.
3. Place of Performance
MSFC Building 4205 Lab 104
4. Period of Performance
PLC will be used as a facility upgrade and support should be offered for 1 year.
