Procurement of 2-channel Waveguide S-band Rotary Joint (RJ6937/01) Background
•
Request for one EVERAXIS 2Ch WG S-band Rotary Joint unit (RJ6937/01). The EVERAXIS 2-Channel rotary joint is a critical, high-risk component essential to the operation of the NPOL antenna. A recent hardware failure necessitated the installation of our current unit, leaving the system without a backup. Because this specific component has a prolonged manufacturing and procurement lead time of 7 to 8 months, maintaining a spare unit in inventory is a critical mission requirement. In the event of a subsequent failure, the absence of an on-hand spare would result in severe and extended GPM mission downtime.

• Procurement of spare NPOL 2Ch WG S-band Rotary Joint unit to keep the NPOL radar operational.
