Statement of Work for the Fabrication of Structures in Beryllium Oxide (BeO) There is a need to fabricate a structure in Beryllium Oxide (BeO) The specification for the structure in BeO is as follows: The structure shall be fabricated from a solid cylindrical BeO. The structure shall have an outer diameter of (2.375±0.001) in. The structure height shall be 2.25 in.
Each structure shall have two through-holes, with one hole at one edge of the cylinder and the other hole at the opposite edge.
These two holes are equidistant to the center of the cylinder. These two holes in each structure shall be aligned to within ±0.001 in line of sight. The diameter of each hole shall be (0.255±0.005) in.
At the center of the cylinder shall be 0.4 in diameter and 0.24 in deep circular cavity. From the base of circular cavity shall be:
Multiple blind holes.
Multiple through holes.
Minimum dimension of these holes shall be 0.020±0.001 in Delivery shall be no later than 50 weeks from receipt of purchase order. Consideration to share proprietary drawing shall be given if prospective vendor can demonstrate the ability to fabricate the structure based on the specification provided above.
