Statement of Work
I.

Description and Summary:

The U.S. Wildland Fire Service - Winnemucca District - Nevada, (being procured by the Wildland Fire Programs) has a requirement to establish a purchase order for housing accommodations for 2026 - 2027 Fire Staff Employees. The quantity of housing required may have quantity drop off in some situations. The housing contract needed would be for one full year with an additional option year not to exceed 2 total years. These rooms will be the employee’s primary residence during field/ fire season. II.

General Requirements:

The employees may be gone for periods of time ranging from a few days to twenty-one days on field or fire assignments. The employees shall not be expected to check in and out during times of absence and may be leaving personal belongings in the room. Parking accommodations will be required for a minimum of 1 parking space per unit/ bed when employee(s) are “in residence” at the establishment.
The residence can be a hotel, motel, house, mobile home, park model, triplex, or apartment as long as all requirements are met. Motorhomes, recreational vehicles, etc. that are not designed for permanent residence are not allowable. If bed bugs, health or safety concerns develop for the housing, alternate housing must be provided.
Temporary seasonal housing should provide flexibility for early departures (or disclose if it cannot), thereby accommodating a reduction in the number of required rooms as needed. All housing must be situated within a five-mile radius of the Winnemucca District Fire Station 21 located at 5100 E Winnemucca Blvd, Winnemucca NV 89445 to ensure that firefighters can respond promptly to fire incidents, often within minutes of notification. This proximity is crucial to guarantee quick response times and enhance public safety. III.

Annual Requirements:

Winter Season: (12/01/2026 – 04/30/2027): Three (3) to four (4) units/rooms for permanent full-time and career seasonal personnel.
