Read the applicant's full note
The project includes indoor and outdoor wireless access points, wireless controllers/management, necessary software and licensing, cabling, mounting components, installation, configuration, and testing. We are seeking the license under both IC and BMIC because its unclear which Service Type they may fall under.Estimated maximum quantities: 88 wireless access points, 88 licensing, 350 related components, and 28,350 feet of cabling.
Quantities are planning estimates, not required purchase amounts. Vendors shall assess existing infrastructure and propose a complete, appropriately sized solution meeting district coverage and capacity needs. Proposals must identify equipment models, quantities, unit pricing, installation costs, necessary licensing, and renewal costs.
Equivalent manufacturers and solutions will be considered. The district reserves the option to scale back total procurement quantities in the event that full funding for all proposed hardware is unavailable during Funding Year 2027. Therefore we are requesting an alternative proposal option for renewal of current license.
Proposals must include all equipment, components, and services necessary for the proposed wireless solution to operate as described. The district is not obligated to purchase the maximum estimated quantities.MANDATORY SITE VISIT:Visitors must schedule an individual site walk-through with the district by emailing [contact in the Form 470].
Review the RFP to see the dates of availability for scheduling as well as location information. Building maps can be requested prior to walk through by emailing [contact in the Form 470] REQUIREMENTS:All questions must be submitted in writing by November 30, 2026. Written answers and material clarifications will be made available equally to all prospective bidders through email communication.
Proposals must be emailed to [contact in the Form 470] no later than 29 calendar days after this 470 posting. Late proposals will be disqualified. Vendor selection and contract award will not occur before the applicable Allowable Contract Date.Bids will be evaluated using a weighted matrix, with the price of eligible products and services as the most heavily weighted factor.
The district reserves the right to award all, part, or none of the requested services and to make separate awards where appropriate. Please read the attached RFP for detailed information about our request.DISQUALIFYING FACTORS:1. Failure to complete the mandatory site walk-through.2. Failure to submit a complete proposal with equipment, descriptions, quantities, and itemized pricing by the state deadline.3.
Proposed equipment must be new, compatible with the district's existing network infrastructure, and include applicable manufacturer warranties. Equivalent equipment must include sufficient technical documentation demonstrating equivalency.4. Bidders must provide their E-Rate SPIN or documentation that an application for one has been submitted.5.
Contractors performing cabling work must provide evidence of appropriate insurance and any legally required bonding.6. Proposals must separately identify equipment, installation costs, required licensing, and any E-Rate-ineligible products or services.7. Service Provider Invoicing (SPI) is mandatory. The awarded vendor must agree in writing to provide discounted billing and submit FCC Form 474 directly to USAC for the eligible funded portion.
The district will pay only its non-discounted share and any applicable ineligible costs. Vendors unwilling to provide SPI billing will be disqualified. BEAR reimbursement billing will not be accepted.
