Timber Type and Age: 30 acres – 1960’s Planted Slash Pine
40 acres – 1982 Planted Slash Pine
27 acres – 1960’s Scattered Natural Pine
Type of Harvest: This sale is a clearcut of all merchantable timber in the
harvest area boundary. Sinkholes require a 35-foot
minimum no harvest Special Management Zone. A safety
spotter must be used at the railroad crossing for all
trucks exiting the Little Shoals harvest area. The
DISTRICT PROJECT MANAGER will routinely make an
assessment of the timber harvest to ensure the objectives
are being met.
