Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites new applications to participate in the Diseases of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC). The overall objectives of this consortium are to:
- identify the underlying mechanisms that link altered GI interception more directly to GI dysmotility and symptoms;
- identify disease or response biomarkers that better assess pathophysiology or treatment efficacy; and
- leverage state-of-the-art technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets that could be assessed in future clinical trials.
This NOFO uses a cooperative agreement mechanism (U01) and runs in parallel with a companion NOFO (RFA-DK-28-214).
