Description

SYNOPSIS: #N68335-26-Q-1194 BRACE, AIRCRAFT GROUND SERVICING Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division - F/A-18F and EA-18G Royal Australian Air Force Program The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (CAGE: 76823) for the BRACE, AIRCRAFT GROUND SERVICING (Part Number (P/N): 74D110613-1007, National Stock Number (NSN): 1730-01-473-3572) in support of the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF) F/A-18F & EA-18G Program.

This order will procure four (4) BRACE, AIRCRAFT GROUND SERVICING. The support is necessary to hold the stabilizer in a stable, trim position or a 22-degree leading-edge-down position during various maintenance activities, such as engine or stabilizer removal and replacement. The recommended solution is the Brace, Aircraft Ground Servicing (P/N: 74D110613-1007) Horizontal Stabilizer Support, which is designed to be usable on both the right and left sides of the aircraft.

A key feature is a tension bolt that fails during an overload condition, allowing the stabilizer to rotate freely and prevent damage. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the BRACE, AIRCRAFT GROUND SERVICING, is the only source with the requisite knowledge, technical experience, and production-level data to produce these components. The components being procured are integral to hold the stabilizer in a stable, trim position or a 22-degree leading-edge-down position during various maintenance activities and are critical to maintaining operational readiness.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis.

Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
