PURPOSE AND USE
The purpose and use of this matrix is to assist Ordering Contracting Officers (OCOs) as well as OASIS+ Contractors with what clauses / provisions might be applicable at the Task Order level depending upon the contract type. This resource is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the applicable provisions and clauses at the Task Order level. The OCO must still ensure that, in addition to the included clauses at the Master Contract level that flow down to the Task Order, all applicable clauses are included in the awarded task order depending upon the specific requirements. *The OCO shall identify any Optional and/or Agency-specific provisions/clauses for each individual task order solicitation and subsequent task order award. The OCO will provide the provision/clause number, title, date, and fill-in information (if any), as of the date the task order solicitation is issued. Utilization of the FAR Smart Matrix for applicability of provisions and clauses for the specific contract type and requirements is highly encouraged. OCOs may also find the new Acquisition Regulation Comparator (ARC) tool helpful in determining applicable agency-specific clauses and provisions that cross-map from the applicable FAR clauses. Both tools are accessible on Acquisition.gov (https://www.acquisition.gov/far-smart-matrix and https://www.acquisition.gov/arc). Note: *As of the latest RFO update (4/20/2026), updates to the FAR subpart 52.3 Provision and Clause Matrix are forthcoming. The current SMART Matrix and ARC tools may not reflect the provision and clause citations in the current RFO at the time of this latest
