DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Scope
This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the tasks required for the removal of the existing indoor overhead crane system and the engineering, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of a new underhung single-girder bridge crane system with two independently operated trolley-mounted hoists in Building 9320 at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), California. This SOW applies to non-critical lifting operations only. Operator training, daily inspections, and routine crane operations are performed by Government personnel and are outside the scope of this contract. Existing Conditions
The existing facility system consists of an indoor overhead crane, hoists, runway rails, electrification, and associated controls. The Government will provide existing facility drawings and available runway documentation for reference. Technical requirements for contractor on-site field verification of all critical dimensions and structural conditions are detailed in Section 3.
