The objective of this RFI is to engage with industry in search of a potential strategic partner to provide preventive maintenance (quarterly) and corrective maintenance services for onset failures for 11 heavy duty Kenworth trucks.
The contemplated effort is anticipated to be a hybrid Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Firm Fixed Unit Price (FFUP), and Time & Materials (T&M) purchase order with a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. The potential North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is: 811111 - General Automotive Repair
MISSION BACKGROUND:
USSS TSD operates and maintains a vehicle fleet with heavy-duty diesel trucks to deliver protective equipment for the President and other protectees. TSD requires comprehensive, reliable, and timely maintenance and repair services for its fleet of heavy-duty vehicles. The division has eleven (11) Kenworth box trucks and A-frame trucks that require continuous maintenance to ensure that they are in top operating condition 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These vehicles are critical enablers to the protective mission of the USSS. The services addressed in this RFI support mission-critical protective operations. Identifying available qualified vendors will strengthen acquisition planning and help ensure the continued readiness and sustainment of the protective equipment fleet.
MISSION NEEDS/REQUIREMENTS:
USSS is seeking prospective vendors who have experience with requirements similar to the task descriptions below. The current fleet consists of eleven (11) Kenworth box and A-frame trucks that require the proper technician certification to maintain manufacturer warranty. The Kenworth authorized technician must have the OEM diagnostic tool and software to perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Any cost incurred to educate service technicians with the necessary knowledge or certifications to maintain the vehicles will be the sole expense of the Contractor.
