Project Title
Purchase and install quick attach fully plumbed water tender 4000 gallon

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this requisition is to purchase and install a 4000 gallon water tender unit on the existing FS truck chassis that has been configured for quick change. The existing vehicle can already be set up with a dump bed or fifth wheel hitch.

2.0 Scope or Mission

The scope of this project. The FS will deliver vehicle 0153 VIN 1NKZX4EX8MJ460912 to the winning bidder, within 200 miles of 80 SE Miller Ave, Bend Oregon, 97702. If the location outside of that range, the vehicle must be transported to the vendor, and returned to the FS location in Bend Oregon, at the expense of the vendor.

3.0 Period and Place of Performance

The vendor will have 180 days from the date of contract award to complete this contract work. Place of performance will be at the vendors shop location. If the shipping distance is less than 200 miles, the FS will pickup & drop off the vehicle. If the shipping distance is beyond 200 miles, the vendor will need to arrange, fund, and execute transportation both ways.

4.0 Background

The existing vehicle is a 2021 Kenworth T880 VIN 1NKZX4EX8MJ460912. The existing vehicle has been outfitted by Wit Log with provisions to quickly change the vehicle configuration from a fifth wheel to a dump bed. This will be a third attachment that must be configured to use the same quick change system.

*It is highly recommended that vendors inspect the vehicle prior to bidding on this contract.

5.0 Performance Objectives

The performance objectives: within 180 says of the award of this contract, the FS employees at the 80 SE Miller Location must accept a fully plumbed quick change water tank attachment for vehicle 0153. The quick attach system must work with this vehicle. Insert Performance Objectives Here
