1) What space and power is available for the system?
a. Will it have to fit on a desk, in a rack – and what kind of rack, stand alone in a panel / cabinet with a certain amount of rack / wall / or floor space; or something else? This PLC will go into a wall mounted cabinet. b. Is the input power source a regular 120V AC at 15 or 20 AMPS wall plug, or is it different? 120VAC or 24VDC is acceptable as long as the 120VAC is finger safe
2) What environment will the equipment be expected to operate in? a. A climate controlled office environment? Will be install in a lab environment, climate controlled, inside a cabinet with some ventilation b. An outside environment, in direct sunlight or not, at Marshal Space Flight Center and/or other locations? No, it will not be mobile. c. An extreme environment? If so, please elaborate. N/A d. Is the system expected to be portable / moved to and from locations? N/A 3) Section 2, and specifically the option for a PC Historian / Data Recording software, implies that a PC of some type should be included in the quote. No PC needed. Windows-based PC already exists. Only a license for a solution is required. Installation and configuration will be completed by NASA. a. Is this correct?
b. If so, will you provide the PC specs including operating system? c. What are the NASA cyber security configuration requirements and who would be responsible to configure the PC.
i. What if these configuration requirements hinder the systems function? Would NASA IT provide support and collaborate on a solution?
4) Section 1 and 2 could imply that all the hardware for making a “…digital control and monitoring system…” could be drop shipped for your team to mount / integrate / install / etc. No only hardware delivery.
a. Is this what is desired?
b. Or is the desire for a working, ready to use, plug in / boot / walk through software boot-install, system desired?

5) In section 4, you require support to be offered for a year. In Section 1 of the other RFQ pdf, the bidder should include a lead time for delivery and a period of performance. Support would start when NASA receives the hardware. NASA will complete the installation and configuration. Technical support by manufacture is standard when purchasing new hardware.
a. When does the 1 year support begin, after successful installation? i. Assuming so, the period of performance would begin at award and be equal to delivery time + setup / install time (for which the responsibility being on NASA or the bidder is unclear) + 1 year.
