Description
The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Yazoo City, MS, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to AT&T Corporation for Fiscal Year 2027 commercial telecommunications infrastructure, network connectivity, and equipment solutions. Authority: FAR 6.103-5(c)(1) (Only One Responsible Source) NAICS: 517111 – Wired Telecommunications Carriers PSC: 5805 – Telephone and Telegraph Equipment Posting Date: November 03, 2026 Closing Date: November 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST Requirement Summary: Secured commercial data networks, telecommunications trunking, and mission-critical network equipment routing to support official operational connectivity and safety communications at FCC Yazoo City.
AT&T Corporation is the only commercial provider with the pre-existing network grid and physical infrastructure capable of meeting the agency's requirements. Alternate sources would require extensive, custom open-market infrastructure buildouts, resulting in a substantial duplication of costs and unacceptable operational delays. Submission Instructions: This is not a request for competitive proposals.
Capability statements proving an identical, off-the-shelf commercial telecommunications network and infrastructure capable of fulfilling this requirement must be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer by the closing date.
