Statement of Work

1. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

The Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP) is a partnership of Federal and non-Federal stakeholders responding to the need to balance the use of Lower Colorado River (LCR) water resources and the conservation of native species and their habitats in compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), LCR, requires various heating, ventilation, and airconditioning (HVAC) components, equipment, and services as described in this specification. The components and equipment will be delivered and installed by the contractor to replace existing HVAC systems on two bunk houses at Planet Ranch Conservation Area (PRCA).

2. OBJECTIVES

This contract’s objectives are as follows:
- the completion of pre-project inspections and analysis of the two existing HVAC systems and site conditions
- submission of recommended replacement options, a design plan, construction plan, safety program, and project schedule by the contractor to BOR for review and approval - the removal and disposal of the existing air-conditioning units on Building 100 and Building 200
- repairs to the building roofs at the location of the removed air-conditioning units (i.e. replacement of plywood, felt underlayment, shingles, etc.) - the furnishing of new HVAC system components for Buildings 100 and 200 - the installation of new ground mounted HVAC system components (i.e. air-conditioning units, ductwork, air-handlers, concrete slabs, etc.)
- adequate operational testing of the new HVAC systems for confirmation of functionality - the removal and disposal of project materials and equipment to restore site to pre-project conditions

PRCA is located outside of Parker, AZ 85344. The primary means of access to the site are by primitive dirt and gravel roads from either Parker, AZ or Yucca, AZ. Temperatures at the site often reach over 110 ℉ during the summer, so proper hot weather safety measures should be taken if work is conducted during the summer months.

The site contains three structures, known as Building 100, Building 200, and Building 300.
