Dear Mr. Kidd:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has completed the review of your application for a Department of the Army permit received on May 14, 2026. Your application was assigned file number SAJ-2000-03466. A review of the information and drawings provided indicates that the proposed work would result in the following: 1. The applicant proposes to remove 407.61 linear feet of timber fascia of an existing bulkhead. Additionally, the applicant proposes to construct a replacement 414-linear foot vinyl bulkhead with timber fascia no more than 1.5 feet waterward of the existing bulkhead. The bulkhead construction would result in the discharge of 0.018 cubic yards of clean fill below the high tide line between the proposed and existing walls. A new dead man wall will be installed waterward of the existing concrete dead man wall. Installation of the new dead man wall requires excavation from the existing seawall back to the location of the new dead man wall. After the existing tie back rods are demolished, new tie back rods and anchors will be installed connecting the new sheet pile seawall and the new dead man wall. After installation, the area will be backfilled and resodded.
2. The applicant proposes to hand place 400 linear feet of riprap revetment in front of the proposed bulkhead, described in no. 1 above. The riprap placement would result in the discharge of 163.40 cubic yards of clean fill material below the high tide line. 3. The applicant proposes to construct a new vertical seawall extension for approximately 330 linear feet east of the existing seawall, which would tie into the natural shoreline. The proposed cantilevered seawall will be installed landward of the mean-high water line and the high tide line and would not result in the discharge of dredge or fill material into a special aquatic site. As such, the proposed seawall

extension does not require Department of the Army authorization. The applicant is proposing to excavate a 1,943.87-square foot area above the mean high-water line via front end loader. The excavated material will be used to backfill/raise behind the new
