V and VI, 36, 37, 37 Bis, 119, 139 of the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection; 5o. fraction VI and 6o. of the Regulation of the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection on Environmental Impact; 38 fraction II, 40 fractions I and X; 41, 43, 44 and 47 fraction IV of the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization; 28, 31 fraction II, 33 and 34 of its Regulation, issues the following Official Mexican Standard NOM-004-SEMARNAT-2002, Environmental Protection - Sludge and biosolids. WHEREAS

In compliance with the provisions of section I of article 47 of the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization, on February 18, 2002, the Official Mexican Standard PROY-NOM-004-ECOL-2001 was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation as a draft, Environmental protection - Sludge and biosolids - Specifications and maximum permissible limits of pollutants for their use and final disposal, so that within 60 calendar days following its publication, interested parties could submit their comments to the National Consultative Committee for Standardization of the Environment and Natural Resources, located at 4209 Adolfo Ruiz Cortines Boulevard, 5th floor, Mexico City, Mexico., colonia Jardines en la Montaña, postal code 14210,
