TO ALL BIDDERS:

The following additions, deletions, and/or changes or clarifications to the drawings, specifications, and bidding documents for this project, shall become and are hereby made part of the Contract Documents. They change the original documents only in the manner and to the extent stated. Each bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this PRE-BID ADDENDUM in the appropriate location on the bid proposal form. This PRE-BID ADDENDUM consists of one (1) page. All requirements of the original Specifications and Drawings and any previous Addenda, if applicable, shall remain in force except as noted by this PRE-BID ADDENDUM.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRE-BID ADDENDUM IS TO CHANGE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

Description of Change:
ADD the following paragraphs after Base Bid Work:
“Bid Option Work: If accepted, the following Bid Option work is included but is not limited to: 1.

Bid Option No. 1:
a. Provide four (4) new aluminum windows retrofitted into the existing aluminum curtain wall system above the main entrance in the 2nd Floor Judge’s Chamber that meet all GSA Core building Standards and the U.S. Courts Design Guide. Provide all equipment, materials, protection, demolition, and blast reinforcing structural materials integrated into the existing curtainwall for a complete system installation. Refer also to drawing sheets G-110, AD100, AD101, and AE101.
b.

Existing curtain wall aluminum spandrel panel wall system above and below the new window systems shall be replaced in kind with new, insulated panels to match existing building aesthetic.

Awarding Options: The Government shall be under no obligation to award the Bid Option to this contract. The Government shall, at their discretion, elect to award Bid Option work. If Bid Option work is awarded, adjustments to contract completion dates will be concurrent, not cumulative.”
