"Acceptance," as used in h s clause, means the execution of an official document (e.g., FAA Form 256) by an authorized representative of the Government by which the Government assumes for itself, or an agent of another, ownership of existing and identified supplies, or approves specific services rendered, as partial or complete performance of the contract. The warranty is considered accepted for the purposes of payment at the time of final acceptance of the system under warranty.

Obligation:

The contractor warrants that each item furnished under this contract shall be free from defects discovered by either the Government or the contractor for a minimum period of 12 months after acceptance, even if the field reliability requirements of H.20* are met eadier. (" H.20" refers to the Field Reliability Verification clause of contract DTFA01-88_C00037.)
