SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The following information summarizes the changes or additions to this version of the TC for I3A.
General
•

Changed release date from February 2010 to November 2017.

•

Removed Chapter 2 in its entirety. Chapter 2 in the February 2010 version of the I3A Technical Criteria was entitled “Building Telecommunications Cabling System Specifications” and provided specifications for Inside Plant (ISP) Infrastructure. In June 2016, a new Unified Facilities Criteria document was published that superseded chapter 2 of the I3A Technical Criteria. The UFC is entitled “Telecommunications Interior Infrastructure Planning and Design” (UFC 3-580-01) and is available for download at http://wbdg.org/ffc/dod/unified-facilities-criteria-ufc . Chapter 3 of this document “Outside Plant Telecommunications Cabling System Specifications” remains in effect until the Unified Facilities Criteria document for outside plant infrastructure (OSP) is published. The UFC for OSP is currently in development and will be titled “Telecommunications Exterior Infrastructure Planning and Design”
