DESCRIPTION

This amendment is issued to address questions submitted by vendors following the site visit.

Question 1- May we utilize an approved inspection and reporting standard software program to capture photos and track items? Answer- The Facility would need to review the program and final report that is generated for each of the inspections before we can give acceptance to this request.

Question 2- What is the expected lead time for materials that will be provided by the VA for corrective work? Answer- We have a large stock of items to make needed repairs. However, repairs would not be able to be made until the contract is modified, so if additional material was needed it would be ordered and on hand when repairs are scheduled.

Question 3- May we inspect 2 floors per monthly visit at Buffalo to have sufficient time to make repairs or corrective work if needed? Answer- The successful bidder will need to follow the schedule provided in the solicitation. Corrective work would require a contract modification so that work would not be able to be accomplished immediately and would require a return visit.

Question 4- The most recent life-safety drawings will be made available upon award. Please clarify whether a copy will be posted for use during the bidding process. Answer- Other than the three documents shared during the site visit and attached to this amendment, no additional life-safety documents are required to complete the bidding process.

Question 5- The PWS states that Buffalo VAMC barrier and door inspections are performed by floor according to an existing monthly schedule. Could the Government please provide the current floor-by-floor inspection schedule? Answer- Each month is a different floor; sub-basement, basement, and 13th floor are done in January, first floor is done in February etc.
