1. Question:
The plan identifies some video equipment and rack/control-room positions, but we have not identified the locations of all video components or the audio speakers. This leaves cable routes, lengths and associated installation-material quantities uncertain. Could you please advise whether audio/video system block diagrams, a complete equipmentlocation layout or intended cable routes are available for publication to all potential quoters? If no further drawings are available, please advise whether the contractor is expected to develop the final layout and cable routing as part of the installation design and coordination with the concurrent renovation works.
Answer:
The layout of the control equipment and the gear for the rack cabinet is something the supplier shall determine on-site.
Given the availability of the room layout and considering the space is not particularly large, any variations in cable routing should not significantly impact the bid. Please refer to the separate document for the detailed floor plan that additionally includes the speakers’ locations.
