1.2. USAFA has a focused interest in exploring how artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled exoskeleton

technology can enhance warfighter lethality. While these technologies promise to improve warfighter endurance, situational awareness, and mission effectiveness, significant gaps exist in the understanding of key human factors. More insight is needed into optimal interface design, cognitive workload management, and team integration protocols to ensure safe, efficient, and resilient operations. USAFA is seeking vendors capable of providing lightweight, wearable, full and lower extremity exoskeletons that provide strength and endurance assistance, have their own power source, use an intuitive software program that adapts to the motor movements of the current user to provide customizable assistance and can be calibrated for various users.

1.2.1. The full and lower body exoskeletons shall:

• allow the user to initiate movement but does not independently perform motor functions. • provide user-initiated movement via powered function--including via pneumatic or similar mechanisms.
• allow user flexible movement such as squatting, bending down, marching, jogging, lifting weights, etc.
• be able to calibrate/programable to multiple users of various height and weight ranges. • not require medical assistance to put on/take off.
• be suitable for individual function without medical supervision.

1.2.2. Essential physical characteristics shall include:

• freestanding and not linked to other equipment such as a treadmill or stationary power
