1 Similar forestry experience

Has your company successfully performed similar mechanical forestry treatments for natural resources management, preparation of prescribed burn units, or maintenance of fuel breaks, including mulching trees and standing dead trees in place?

2 Equipment capability

Can you provide an excavator-mounted mulcher capable of treating the standing and felled trees, snags, and stumps described in the Statement of Work? Identify the proposed equipment and any differences from the desired specifications.

3 Treatment method and environmental protection

Can you mulch trees in place without pushing fragile dead trees over first; distribute material uniformly without large accumulations, particularly along unit edges; and exclude wetlands and their 100-foot buffers from treatment?

2 Equipment information

Provide the excavator and mulcher make/model, specification sheets, and basis of availability (owned, leased, rented, or subcontracted). Address the desired horsepower, cutting width and cutter system, grapple, hydraulic flow and pressure, ground pressure, reach, and tree/stump treatment capability stated in the scope.
