SPECIFICATIONS
Scope Of Work
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Complex – Terre Haute (FCC Terre Haute) intends to award to a responsible entity for the provision and installation of all parts and material necessary for BOP personnel to replace the heating condensate pumps and motors to meet all necessary requirements.
Operation Specifications
The Contractor shall provide a supply and delivery of all equipment, materials, and incidentals required to replace heating condensate pumps and motors meeting the requirements of the specification.
The assembly will be a two-stage, centrifugal, bronze-fitted design for applications requiring low NPSH. The pump will be fitted with an axial flow propeller (sometimes called an inducer) and straightening vanes that provide the necessary NPSH for pumping high temperature water without cavitation occurring. Pumps will be furnished with bleed lines, sometimes called seal flushing lines, to help prevent the pump from vapor binding and to allow pump operation against a dead shut off for a period of time without burning seals. Standard mechanical seals will provide for temperatures up to 250°F. Higher temperature seals and special faces may be required. The pumps will be designed for the specific operating conditions—flow rate, discharge pressure and NPSH requirements; impellers trimmed to operating conditions. It will be horizontally mounted.
The motor will be 25HP 460/3/60 HORZ at 3500 RPM quantity needed will be 4.
An isolation valve will be installed in the suction piping between the pump and receiver tank to quickly remove the pump for repair and maintenance without draining the receiver. The valve will be of all bronze construction with “O” rings in the housing allowing for thermal expansion. The flow will be indicated by the handle direction
The following condensate pumps will need to be the equivalent to the following and a quantity of three each will be required:
Goulds Pump Model # 46SV20GK4C50, 2 Stage, With 15 HP, 3500 RPM, 215TC Frame WEG Motor Cat # 00718ET3E213JP-S, 7.5 HP, 1800 RPM, 230/460 V, 60 HZ, TEFC, 3 PH, 213JP Frame Marathon Model # ZVF182TTDW1601, HP5, RPM 3500, FR 182TCVZ, 233/460v, 60Hz
