Tinker General Requirements

CONTRACTOR FACILITIES

1.1

GENERAL

GENERAL

Contractor shall limit the storage of materials, equipment, and incidentals to the immediate construction site or approved staging areas designated by the Contracting Officer.
If the contractor requires additional storage/staging areas other than the project site or as indicated in the contract dopcuments, a request shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer a minimum of twenty-one (21) days prior to mobilization. Requests for additional Storage/staging area shall be submitted utilizing Attachment 1 - Request for Contractor Staging Area. Requests shall include, as necessary: a proposed location; approximate square footage required; items to be located in the staging area such as job trailers, dumpsters, material and equipment; and a proposed alternative location (as required by the Contracting Officer). The Government will make every effort to accommodate the contractor's requests, but must also take into consideration items such as personnel safety, anti-terrorism/ force-protection requirements, mission requirements, and proximity to distinguished visitor routes. All requests are subject to approval by the Base Civil Engineer and/or the Installation Commander. Refer to Section 00 71 00, GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMNTS FOR CONSTRUCTION ON TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Attachment 1, for additional information related to construction projects on or adjoining the airfield. Upon approval, the Government will provide the Contractor an area or areas on TAFB to stage equipment and materials necessary to fulfill the contract. The area shall be set up and maintained as stipulated below or as directed by the Government.

SUBMITTALS

Government approval is required for submittals with a "G" designation; submittals not having a "G" designation are for Contractor Quality Control approval. Submit the following in accordance with Section 01 33 00

VISUAL RECORD

Prior to establishing a staging area, the Contractor shall provide a photographic record of the area to the Contracting Officer. These photographs will become a part of the project file and will be used to determine proper restoration of the area at contract completion.
